Mindfulness Meditations for Relaxation, Healing, and Staying Well


Over the past 20 years, I, Anne Milligan

(as a psychotherapist), have created numerous healing workshop series and inner healing recordings. I am a practitioner of Counseling Therapy in Louisville Kentucky and have been in practice for 24 years. NOTHING that I have created so far has matched the mental and physical changes I have seen in others who use these meditations on a regular basis. For over three years now, I have been designing these recordings, and I am convinced that direct participation in this work literally changes the wiring of the brain in an extremely positive way, and provides people with the ability to manifest the very best possible life for themselves. I am also certain that the most powerful place to initiate change is within our own selves.

If you are interested in the medical science behind these meditations, be sure to read Dr. Wayne Dyer's book "The Power of Intention" as well as Dr. Daniel Amen's books "Change Your Brain, Change Your Life (The Breakthrough Program for Conquering Anxiety, Depression, Obsessiveness, Anger, and Impulsivity"), and "MAGNIFICENT MIND AT ANY AGE". I have also recently discovered "Creative Stress" by James O' Dea. Keep in mind, however, that no amount of intellectual knowledge replaces the direct experience of moving inward in a mindful way (i.e., "mindfulness") and practicing these techniques to awaken healing light energy.

    HOW THESE MEDITATIONS WORK

    "Holistic health" is one of the most powerful and effective movements in the world today. It is most natural for we human beings to consider our whole mind, body and spirit as one living entity, and our goal is to help this one entity, this whole person that you are, to work together in harmony. After all, "a house divided against itself will fall"...Anything can become a habit, including the way we think. Thought patterns form mostly because of the "associations" we mentally attach to people, ourselves, objects, and situations. Each time we repeat the thought-association patterns we are reinforcing and deepening the habit. For example, if you have had two straight weeks of insomnia, at some point you are going to immediately mentally and physically tense up when bedtime comes, because you have learned to associate bedtime with the agony of not being able to sleep. Another example would be someone who had a very neglectful childhood and has never known what genuine self-love and self-attention feels like. To them, the mental associations they attach to themselves are not very positive. Each time another self-critical thought pops into their mind and they accept it, the habit of negative self-image just deepens. The worst part of all of this is that what lies within us as a habit is most often what is reflected back to us in the way we live and the relationships we form (or don't form). This even helps to reinforce the problem deeper because those situations do nothing for a person's self-confidence or self-esteem.

    Habits can be broken, even habits of thought that result in chronic anger, anxiety and depression. Habits form most often in the area of the mind we call the "subconscious". A combination of deep relaxation and repetition of positive mental images and self-affirmations are like putting new data in the memory bank of your computer. You are literally changing the way your are "hard-wired" to think about yourself and your life. I (Anne Milligan) have observed a near-miraculous string of events that follow in a person's life after they have faithfully followed through on this inner work to build self-confidence and self-esteem. It appears that the world around them seems to change in accordance with the changes that are happening within. New more positive people seem drawn to them, they creatively problem-solve more effectively and confidently - things just seem to work out really well for them. What we most deeply believe and expect to happen really does happen.

     





    HOW TO WORK WITH AND ORDER THE RECORDINGS

    The recommended use of either of these recordings is the following:

    You will need to make a commitment to at least 21 consecutive days of approximately 30-50 minutes a day to work with the recording/s. It is commonly understood that 21 days of repetition "locks in" the new information in your deeper subconscious mind. This means that, if you want it to work for you, you'll have to situate your life so that you have that time every day without any interruptions. You'll need a CD player or other portable device with headphones so that the words are as close to your ears as possible, to avoid any other distractions. Also, do not plan to walk or use the meditations while you're exercising and especially not while you are driving. The ability to deeply relax into and follow the guided meditations on the recordings is what makes it work for you.

    This meditation is an introduction to the techniques of "mindfulness". It is Track 2 on the CD. This first meditation includes focusing, deep breathing, guided healing imagery and other mind-body exercises. This meditation prepares you for Meditation #2 which is Track 3 on the CD.

    Into The Light, Volume 2: Deeper Healing For Mind and Body



    "Into the Light: Volume 2" is the next in a series of inner healing meditations which I (Anne Milligan) have been working on for the past 3 years. As of 2009, many people have derived extensive healing from working with the "Into the Light" Meditations. This latest recording (released in December of 2011) is designed to take participants into even deeper levels of relaxation and focus, along with new practices to heighten your ability to respond creatively and effectively to any major stressors in your life.
